DESCRIPTION:This panel is part of a series of teach-ins on the Burmese Democracy Movement\, organized with the goal of disseminating knowledge about violence perpetrated against political activist communities in Burma. This event was sponsored by the Center for Southeast Asia Studies\, UC Berkeley and the Center for Southeast Asian Studies at UCLA. DIGNITY has been conducting a project in Burmese prisons for the past several years.
