Prof. Robert Lemelson releases two new documentary films

Prof. Lemelson has just released two new documentary films from his work in Indonesia. Standing on the Edge of a Thorn follows a rural Indonesian family over the course of twelve years as they struggle with poverty, mental illness, and participation in the sex trade. Ngaben: Emotion & Restraint in a Balinese Heart is a look at the famous ngaben, or Balinese cremation ceremony. Both films will be available soon from Documentary Educational Resources.
