Prof. Emeritus Jaques Maquet Passes Away At 93

Professor Jacques Maquet, who was chair of the department, passed away January 18th. He’d developed pneumonia following the flu, and required hospice care beginning Monday of this week. He’d been residing at Nazareth House in West Los Angeles for the last two years, after spending several years at Arbor View Convalescent Home.  My husband and I have been looking after him as friends, for some years now.His wife, Gisele, was moved into Nazareth House by her daughter last April, during her daughter’s visit from Belgium. Jacques turned 93, 4 August, 2012. Please feel free to contact me if there are questions.Sincerely, Barbara Mathieu
