Akhil Gupta named president of the American Anthropological Association

Prof. Akhil Gupta, UCLA Professor of Anthropology, has been named president of the American Anthropological Association. The American Anthropological Association is the largest association for professional anthropologists in the world. Prof. Gupta is a sociocultural anthropologist who works on questions of transnational capitalism, infrastructure, and corruption.
