Professor H. Samy Alim talks about his new book Freedom Moves: Hip Hop Knowledges, Pedagogies, and Futures, The UCLA Hip Hop Initiative, and the big Hop Hop 50th Anniversary Celebration at the Grammys with Tavis Smiley.

Their book was highlighted throughout the interview, but was able to mention the work of two graduate students: Leroy F. Moore, Jr. and Stephanie Keeney Parks, focusing on Hip Hop, race, and disability justice.
