RAI FILM Festival at UCLA

The Royal Anthropological Institute’s renowned biennial film festival comes to Los Angeles at the UCLA Glorya Kaufman Dance Theater. On view will be two feature films and four short film collections exploring community and memory, climate change and activism, ethnomusicology, healthcare and healing, agriculture and labor, and identity and social conflict. We are pleased to announce some directors will be in attendance and there will be Q&A sessions after the films. We will also have a closing reception and a concert featuring music composed for ethnographic film. For a full programme see the attached flyer and/or visit raifilmfestivalatucla.com.

Stick around after the 7 pm screenings for a closing reception followed by a live performance of musical selections from ethnographic film scores. Hosted by UCLA Professors Aparna Sharma (WACD) and Rob Lemelson (Anthropology).
